Running Club, Anyone?

Tuesday, March 27, 2007

Since the "Fun Run and Marathon 2007" blog entry has been receiving several comments and inquiries, and someone actually suggested putting up a running club, I decided to take it into possibility. Why not? It would be fun running with a group and finally meeting the other running enthusiasts I met thru this blog.

So, to anyone who is interested, please leave your name, contact info and address/location. I've also just finished creating a Yahoo eGroup so feel free to join and let's help each other put up this running group. By the way, I'm calling the group "Impromptu Runners" for the meantime. Yay! I'm so excited!

Is the world really melting?

Monday, March 26, 2007

It has been four months since I first saw The Inconvenient Truth and though it initially brought a startling realization that the world is no longer as good to live in as before, it's just during the past few days that the global warming phenomenon started to really bother me.

Working on my own in my house no longer affords me the luxury of 8-9 hours of free aircon. I'm melting and there has to be a constant supply of ice cream in my fridge. Today's temperature is probably more than 32 degrees plus humidity. Last week in Bora was truly a bliss and even though my sweat glands never really had a chance to rest, I certainly didn't mind the extreme heat cuz the cool ocean water was just a few steps away. But Manila is hell! Would it be possible to bring all my work to Baguio and stay there for the rest of the summer? Or else I have to buy myself an AC…for Jess's benefit too… :D

Countdown… I could feel the sand…

Thursday, March 15, 2007

Woohoo! Few more hours and I'd be back in Bora!!! Unfortunately, crash dieting and exercising didn't work for me (probably because I cheated too often… Hey, I need my fix of sugar…can't live without dessert!) AND it's "red alert week"… Of all the days, why now????!!! There's no way I'm staining my precious white Billabong (duh!)… Nothing, nothing could ruin this vacation!

Be back on Sunday. Jayson's coming with me, I know…:p

Adidas King of the Road 10k Result

Monday, March 12, 2007

Hmmm, I did 1:06:something….

Gotta build some muscles in my shoulders and back 'cause they felt like giving up when I reached 6k. My legs didn't hurt a bit; my upper body's the problem… Anyways, I got a month to train for the next run. I'm trying out the all-terrain race. It sounds more fun than running on flat road.
