Random Thoughts Part III

I'm back in AB Communications since Monday, but this is a temporary status, just until they finally found someone who'd be willing to spend a good part of their life here. I feel like I've only been gone for a week instead of a year. My old VL/SL forms are still in my drawer, including packets of sugar, cream and Extra Joss, an expired Red Bull Extreme and a hair dye. The panda and former American Idol crush pictures still are posted exactly where I left them a year ago. The only difference is a missing table and my former team mates, of course. I own the whole post now. Hahaha!

The heat's killing me and I'm not kidding! My bed's turning into a sponge, absorbing my sweat… Only one side of my nose can breathe and my head feels like a ton!

Weehee! This is for the love of juggling jobs, the adrenalin rush and the bliss of passing out  by the end of the day.

I wanna start running again. Hopefully, my cold's gone on Saturday. I'll try so I wouldn't be a total loser on Sunday with the other Impromptu a.k.a Happy Feet Runners…

Went to Mandarin Hotel last night after work for Salsa. Can't remember the last time I danced and it just felt weird because for the first time after how many months, I went without Christian. And some guy, a DI according to Ares, danced with me. I couldn't keep my head up cuz I couldn't keep my eyes off his ridiculously floral shirt. Not the Hawaiian kind with big bright flowers but a white (old, I think) one with tiny flowers, stems and leaves. The kind your grandmother would wear for a dress or your bedsheet/pillowcase when you were young. I'm so mean…. 

Why is it that whenever I turn down a job for the given reason that "I can't commit to a company right now because I have plans for this year," the automatic question would be, "Why, are you planning to get married?" Is that the only "plan" a single woman (wow, am I even a woman? Heeheee) could  make? Well, there's a greener pasture beyond the security in a company.

Surprisingly, Ii rarely get bored lately…Hmmm, that's a good thing. 

Our Limitless Supply of Stupid People

If "Stupid" was a prestigious title to be earned, I may be a candidate but definitely not the winner.

For the third time, I lost a phone. And this time I would have laughed my ass off if my SIM card didn't hold a lot of important contacts (current and prospective clients, business colleagues, suppliers, etc.) Well, it was an old 5510, a hand me down from an ex, which I accidentally dropped several times already. It was still good for SMS but totally unusable for calls since the caller wouldn't be able to hear me due to the busted speaker. I was confident to bring out my phone even in the most mugger-infested areas like Quiapo. Those people are more up to date than I am when it comes to mobile phone technologies, so I know that they know exactly how much the market value of my phone would be. They surely wouldn't waste a breath to take it away from me knowing that they are lucky if they could dispose it for 500 bucks.

But yesterday, someone from the MRT earned the most coveted title, "STUPID."  6 PM, rush hour,and as expected, you're lucky if you could squeeze yourself in the train. Luckily, (or unluckily) I boarded from North Ave., the first station. I didn't bother to take the "exclusive for women, disabled, elders and children's coaches" since I was in a real hurry to get home (blame it to my tummy which had been revolting for the past 4 hours while waiting for a client.) I literally had to suck in my breath to squeeze myself out of the train. I just realized that the phone was gone when I reached for my backpack to buy a smoothie in Megamall. Funny thing was, phone's gone but  iPod was still there. Good thing I was carrying a trashy backpack and nobody would have known that there was an iBook inside. Such a stupid, stupid pickpocket! My Clinique foundation which was in the same pocket, is worth more than the phone! And the iPod was there too. Ignorant bastard! I bet he threw it away when he saw the loot he got! Hehehe! His own phone was probably nicer than mine… 

I may be stupid for putting my phone in my backpack pocket but who deserves the title better? Well,  can't blame him for trying out his luck that day. What a disappointment for him…

Yikes! It’s April!

Holy week's over and that means long vacation's almost through too. What am I complaining about? It's not like I'm going to back to a mundane job in an boxy office again. I'm actually looking forward to working again. I want to get that AMTI catalog done asap. Ergh! Tech catalogs are really boring.

So, 4 days in Baguio is history and Christian's going back to Iloilo early Tuesday morning and I will be alone again in the house, working, juggling schedules, figuring my way out, day dreaming, getting bored and having fun entertaining myself with silly stuff that only I can understand… I miss Baguio weather…

By the way, I've finally parted ways with my old Nike shoes (given by Uncle Froilan during my stay in Canada so I didn't have to walk around the city in my heeled school shoes..ergh!) and my really dirty, overly worn out white leather Vans I bought when I got back in the Philippines. Those Nikes survived Mt. Makulot and Mt. Batulao! Too bad the soles were falling off from too much washing. I sure gonna miss my Vans… It served me well until the soles got too smooth and water started seeping in whenever it's raining. Gonna need to buy a replacement soon. I hope the kids scavenging stuff from the garbage weren't too disappointed when they saw the condition of my good ol' shoes. Hey, I'd still wear them myself….

Contemplating…

I'm full, I'm overloaded with caffeine but there's tapsilog and I wanna eat… I don't feel like doing any real work right now. It's Saturday night and I'm working. How pathetic is that? But it'll be Baguio again on Wednesday! Thank God for a break from Manila's killer heat! I've wasted an hour doing, well, this…Heehee!… Hey, I gotta take a break…

Don't be mad. I was bored. I'm done with Lipstick Jungle and I've read all three back issues of design magazine I bought a few days ago.  

I missed another salsa class… I want a good back massage but I think my skin's still peeling from the bad sun burn I got from Bora. Don't want the masseuse to think that she's gathering "libag" from my back…

Eeeehhhh! I wanna sleep all day in a cold, cold room, wrapped tightly in a freshly washed comforter and dream of a whole pot of melted dark chocolate again… Yum!

Taking a break…

Got lots of work to do but here I am…blogging..hehe! 

Just had a haircut right in my house. How convenient is that… My bangs are back…Ergh!

Impromptu Runners has now 10 members, including myself and 5 of my friends. I hope to meet the other members soon and get a chance to run together before the April 29 run.

Business is going well. Hmmm…. more about that soon… or maybe not… I'm satisfied, completely happy and certain that my career has a direction now. The world of an entrepreneur… Yea?

I miss him, I miss him, I miss him… Can't wait for Sunday…
