Back to work…
Monday, May 21, 2007>> The sea urchin that was the center of attention on Saturday morning. Oh, and I lost my other contact lens sometime Friday afternoon. Not exactly the best time to lose one. Next time, bring an extra pair!!!
I should be back at work right now, but I had to call in sick this morning. And I do feel sick as in sick-sick, not having a vacation hang-over sick.
I really am starting to develop a phobia for Puerto Galera. The first time I went there a couple of years ago, I had gone home with a disgusting mark of an evil jellyfish's tentacle on my right arm. It took more than a month for my skin to clear up. I shared that story with my friends during our first day lunch and was kinda swearing that I would never ever go back to Galera should it happen again.
Well, turned out, it DID happen again! Though I'm still not sure whether it was the same evil jellyfish or her kid was the culprit for all these gross rashes on my upper left arm and leg. Saturday noon while swimming on the same spot where the jellyfish stung me before, I felt the same bolt of electricity though it wasn't as alarming as before. Then the area got really itchy but no rashes came out until the end of the night. So I wasn't certain if it was a jellyfish or the bed bugs cuz Christian didn't have any. Theory: the bed bug decided to get me first cuz I look yummier, had their fill for the night and never bothered Christian for a second round.
The rashes look so much like the jellyfish sting I had before but why, why, why me??? The rest of the group were swimming for hours in the same spot before we even got there and nobody was complaining about anything. I don't know what's in that water or if that spot (the serene one on the far right side of White Beach near the cave) has something against me .
The rashes makes me wanna sleep all day and the humid weather is making it even worse. Now, how many weeks do I have to wait for me to be able to wear shorts and short-sleeved shirts again?
Christian's back in Iloilo though.
… Two and a half weeks shouldn't be that long. Afterall, we were able to survive 5 weeks without seeing each other.
